1st Young Translator Candidates Competition
Emre Gürkan Yalgı, one of our department students, won second place in the 1st Young Translator Candidates Competition organized by the Atatürk Culture, Language, and History High Institution Atatürk Cultural Center on October 12, 2024. His award was presented to him at the Atatürk Culture, Language, and History High Institution on November 14. We congratulate our student!

Literature workshop with Ariane Koch and Dinçer Güçyeter
At our last workshop in our department, we were very happy to welcome award-winning writers Ariane Koch and Dinçer Güçyeter as guests. Ariane Koch's work "The Imposition" and Dinçer Güçyeter's work "Our Germany Fairy Tale" were the focus of our workshop. The intimate conversations we had with our guest authors allowed us to take a deeper journey into the world of these impressive works.
Literature Workshop with Alois Hotschnig
May 12, 2023 We had the pleasure of hosting Austrian author Alois Hotschnig in our department. The guest author discussed his latest book "Der Silberfuchs meiner Mutter", which deals with a family drama resulting from World War II, and answered our questions.
